Meredith Dreiss
Meredith Dreiss holds an M.A. in Anthropology with a specialization in Mayan Archaeology. She is currently a Research Fellow at the Texas Archeological Research Laboratory at the University of Texas at Austin and is President of ArcheoProductions, Inc. which develops and produces anthropology-related educational projects. The documentary film, Chocolate: Pathway to the Gods, was completed in 2005, followed by a companion book with the same name (University of Arizona Press, 2008). Her recent documentary Agave is Life, completed in 2014, was officially selected to show at 18 film festivals, receiving 8 awards and 5 Honorable Mentions. It was also the inspiration for our Festival.
Meredith Dreiss is a founder of Agave Festival Marfa.
